The 2017 Ford Fusion is the first midsize sedan of the latest model year to win the Top Safety Pick+ designation. When equipped with the optional front crash prevention system (rated “superior” by IIHS), the new Fusion nailed the highest score in each of the five crash tests. This model showed improvements over the 2016 edition, which only scored average in the front overlap test.
