As Hyundai and Kia continue making inroads on the U.S. market, the Korean brands’ safety features have become as much a factor as the 10-year warranty. In the case of the 2017 Kia Sportage, the small SUV landed top scores in all five crash tests and got a superior rating for its front crash prevention system. The only negative with this Sportage model is the headlights, which were rated poor by the IIHS.
