Auction set for June 5-7, 2015 - Russo & Steele - Newport Beach, California

Karl Abarth and Elio Zagato created a world-famous car, the Fiat-Abarth 750 GT. The aluminum body presents a very characteristic double hump in the roofline, born to the conflicting demands of headroom. This kind of style has become Zagato’s trademark. This model is similar to the 750 Zagato that was raced to a class win by Alfonso Thiele in the 1957 Mille Miglia. This particular car (ID number 639039) is in good usable and drivable condition. It has been kept running and garaged mostly all of its life. Mechanically, the car is in great condition, with new brakes, front suspension overhauled, and basic tuning. It belonged to the Alfredo Spinetti Collection in Mantecatini, Terme, which was the first owner. He restored the car in 1998 at Faralli Restauri in Pisa, Italy, and the car is listed in John DeBoers The Italian Registry. The car was imported in 2013 and that year, it was repainted the original blue color. The engine is very strong, the compression has been checked and it has the highest compression possible.
