Presented with a fresh nut-and-bolt
restoration, this sparkling Thunderbird is one of only 1,499 cars built
with the E-code high-performance engine. The legendary engine option is
known for its two 4-barrel carbs under a gleaming chrome air cleaner
that produced 270hp. This particular car has been upgraded to the
"racing kit" that features a 10:1 compression ratio (rather than 9.7:1),
which ups the horsepower to 285hp at 5500 rpm. Lift the tilt-forward
hood and show off the engine and engine compartment detailing. This
E-Bird is ready for cruises and car shows. The gorgeous Flame Red body
is accented with a matching porthole hardtop and white soft-top. Inside
the car, the matching white interior is complemented by excellent trim,
red carpeting, air conditioning and a modern AM/FM radio with cassette.
Additional features include sparking Kelsey Hayes chrome wire wheels
with wide whitewall tires, power steering, power brakes, Ford-O-Matic
3-speed automatic transmission. Upgrades include an aftermarket AM/FM
radio with cassette. The trunk features a proper spare and trunk mat.
